Lattice Gas Modeling of Scour

The so-called lattice Boltzmann method is used to implement a numerical model for erosion, transport and deposition of sediment due to the action of a streaming uid. This approach is applied to describe the formation of a scour under a submarine pipe. Both static and dynamic properties of the process are well reproduced by our computer simulations.

Lattice Boltzmann modeling of two component gas diffusion in solid oxide fuel cell

In recent years, the need for high efficiency and low emission power generation systems has made much attention to the use of fuel cell technology. The solid oxide fuel cells due to their high operating temperature (800 ℃ -1000 ℃) are suitable for power generation systems.Two-component gas flow (H2 and H2O) in the porous media of solid oxide fuel cell’s anode have been modeled via lattice Boltz...

Chemical diffusion of CO in mixed CO + O adlayers and reaction-front propagation in CO oxidation on Pd(100).

Within the framework of a realistic atomistic lattice-gas model, we present the theoretical formulation and simulation procedures for precise analysis of the chemical diffusion flux of highly mobile CO within a nonuniform interacting mixed CO + O adlayer on a Pd(100) surface. The approach applies in both regimes of relatively immobile unequilibrated and fairly mobile near-equilibrated O adlayer...

Lattice Gas Modeling of Snow Transport by Wind

We present a lattice gas model to simulate snow transport by wind and its deposition on a given ground proole. Our approach is very well suited to a ne grained massively parallel computing.

An object oriented approach to lattice gas modeling

We present a parallel library which can be used for any lattice gas (LG) application. A highly reusable implementation, as well as a general parallelization scheme, based on a graph partitioning technique are developed. We show that the performance we obtain with our approach compares favorably with the plain, classical implementation of LG models on regular domains and can be even better for i...
